If you're in school years 7 to 13, we would love to welcome you to one of our youth groups! Whether you are of any faith or none, whatever background you come from, we want you to feel welcome here. There is space to just hang out and make friends, space to meet with God, and space to ask any questions you might have about God, faith, or life.

We aim to create a secure and supportive environment, where young people can have fun, discover, discuss and encounter God. We also want to offer ways they can serve others, be supported and mentored as they explore faith and grow in their relationship with each other and with God.

Please do get in touch if you want to know more, or just come along to one of our groups on a Sunday or a weeknight.

School Years
10-13
While the adults listen to a sermon in the main service, we play games, read the Bible, earn sweets, pray and listen to God. Phase is a place to get deeper into the Bible, think about important issues in our society, and build strong relationships with other people your age.
The older youth spend Sundays getting into the Bible, using games, activities and discussions to go deeper into some of the key issues that teenagers face today. It's a place to share our joys and struggles, and walk together through life with friends that have got your back.

Through the Week

School Years 7-9
Thursdays, 7.30-9pm

Everyone is welcome at Roots! Whatever your background, come along and join us for games, activities, topics and friendships.

During part of the evening we have a topic of the day, looking at some aspect of Christianity or an issue relevant to young people. The rest of the time, there is football or other games in the main hall, pool and table football in the youth room, and plenty of space to just hang out and chat.

It's completely free, but we have a tuck shop where the young people can buy snacks and drinks. We also have a number of socials throughout the year.

School Years 10-13
Tuesdays, 8-10pm

Refine is for older youth, and is about building deeper relationships with each other and with God. It's open to anyone, and we hope you will feel loved and at home at Refine, no matter your background.

Each evening, we have a topic either from the Bible or an issue relevant to teenagers. The content is provided from a Christian point of view, but we welcome all views and love to listen to whatever the young people want to say. We aim to provide a warm, welcoming environment, where young people can really meet with God in a personal way. We also have plenty of free time each week, where the youth can socialise and play games such as football, pool, table tennis or on games consoles.

 Special Events

Once a term on a Sunday, 6.30pm

Each term, the whole church gathers to take part in a service led by our young people!

They get to play the instruments, lead the worship, teach from the Bible, run the sound and tech desks, share testimonies, lead prayers, games and activities for the whole church.

It's always a special evening for both the youth and the people who come.

Open to School Years 12-13

For our sixth-form students, we offer the chance to meet up one-to-one with a mentor.

We provide the training and safeguarding for the mentors, and they are able to go deeper into issues of faith, life, or just be there to listen.

It's a great opportunity to build meaningful intergenerational relationships and to build up our young people in a way that isn't possible in a group setting.

We take the safety of our young people seriously at RBC. Have a look at our safeguarding policies.
